Douglas County Breastfeeding Counseling & Support Program
What is the Douglas County Health Department Breastfeeding Support Program?
The Breastfeeding Support Program is a division of our Women Infants and Children program. We support and encourage mothers through education and one-on-one counseling sessions. While there are many benefits to breastfeeding; it is the healthiest and most economical way to nourish new babies. We can provide instruction to new mothers on how to breastfeed, help work through a difficulty as your nursing/pumping, or can just provide helpful answers to any questions.
